Mr. Biteye has over 30 years of field experience in capacity building across the continent and around the world.
His experience in the private and public sector, as well as with leading international development agencies, will be key in driving forward the Foundation’s mandate to enhance capacity across Africa, at a time of rapid transformation around the world.
An agricultural economist by training, Mr. Biteye has a wealth of expertise in the development sector in Africa. His work experience includes strategic leadership, program development and implementation, public policy analysis, advocacy and campaigning and community participatory development.
Mr. Biteye joined ACBF from VISA, where he served as Vice-President, Global Head of Inclusive Growth and before that as Regional Head of Social Impact for the Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa Region. In those roles, he worked with non-profit clients and government organizations to bring the VISA social impact vision to life in markets around the world.
At VISA, Mr. Biteye collaboratively developed a global digital financial education strategy and forged strategic multi-stakeholder partnerships.
This expertise in stakeholder management is key at ACBF, which has been stepping up relations with key partners to support transformative programing across Africa.

Sarah Mosoetsa is an Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of the Witwatersrand (WITS) and the Chief Executive Officer at the National Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences (NIHSS).
Author of “Eating from one pot: Dynamics of Survival in poor South African households” (Wits Press, 2011) and co-editor of “Labour in the Global South: challenges and alternatives for workers” (ILO, 2012). She has also published papers in several academic journals. Her recent collaborative works includes “Precarious Labor in Global Perspective, International Labor and Working-class History” (Cambridge University Press, 2017) and “New South African Review 6 - The Crisis of Inequality” (Wits Press 2018).
Sarah Mosoetsa has worked for various organizations such as the Society, Work and Development Institute (SWOP), Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC), and Development Bank of South Africa (DBSA). She is a former chair and member of the Global Labour University and chairperson of the South African Labour Bulletin Board. Until recently, she was a Council member at Rhodes University. Currently serving as a Board member at the National Research Foundation (NRF).

Is an experienced applied research, policy analysis, monitoring and evaluation, policy advocacy specialist in the area of food systems, agriculture and natural recourses (FANR) with a total of more than 25 years working experience. Six (6) years of these is at an executive management level. Currently, as a CEO and Head of Mission of FANRPAN, Tshilidzi is vested with the key responsibility to provide overall strategic leadership and guidance to the organization.

Prof Khathutshelo Nephawe obtained his PhD degree in Animal Breeding and Genetics at the University of Nebraska (Lincoln, Nebraska, USA) under the Fulbright Scholarship. He also completed the following qualifications: Masters in Business Leadership (MBL) at UNISA’s Graduate School of Business Leadership (SBL), Practical Project Management Programme at UNISA SBL, MSc in Agriculture in Animal Science at University of Free State, BSc in Agriculture (Hons) in Animal Science (Cum Laude) at University of the Free State and BSc in Agriculture at University of Limpopo.
Prof Nephawe is currently employed as a Research Professor and Head of Department (Animal Science) at Tshwane University of Technology (TUT). Previously, he worked as Scientific Manager (Livestock Research) at the Limpopo Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (LDARD), and formerly as a Senior Researcher in Animal Breeding and Genetics at the Agricultural Research Council (ARC) of South Africa (ARC).
Prof Nephawe is rated by the National Research Foundation (NRF) as an Established Researcher. He has an outstanding postgraduate students’ supervision record of accomplishment. In terms of research outputs, he has a tremendous publication record in peer-reviewed journals locally and internationally. Moreover, he actively contributes towards both local and international scientific conferences.
Prof Nephawe have expertise and experience of serving at various Boards and/or Councils. He has served at Onderstepoort Biological Products (OBP) as Board Member, South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP) as Vice Chairperson of Council, Madzivhandila College of Agriculture Advisory Board, Potchefstroom College of Agriculture Advisory Board, South African Society for Animal Sciences (SASAS) council; to mention but a few.
Professionally, he is registered as a Professional Natural Scientist under the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP). Moreover, he is a member of the South African Society for Animal Sciences (SASAS).
In addition, he is an author of a captivating fictional title about a sacred African kingdom entitled, “Legends of the Lost Sacred Kingdom”, published by AuthorHouse-UK in 2014.

Specialties: Team leader/player/motivator and programme/project/executive management of government and donor funded infrastructure as well as institutional strengthening and development programmes on transport, WASH and decentralised service delivery. Expertise in building and sustaining networks, knowledge management, capacity building, training, human resources, financial and resources mobilisation. Ms Brink is a senior career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and was most recently Assistant Secretary, Strategic Investment Branch.
She has previously served overseas in New York as Deputy Head of Mission, Australian Permanent Mission to the UN, and Chef de Cabinet to the President of the UN General Assembly.
Ms Brink has also served in the Australian Permanent Mission to the World Trade Organization (WTO), and the Advisory Centre on WTO Law in Geneva.
I thank former High Commissioner, Ms Gita Kamath for her contributions to advancing Australia’s interests in South Africa since 2019.
